Family of friends focused on faith...
|
Come join our Student Ministry at BBC!
Weekly: We have a wonderful middle and high school bible study offered on Sunday's at 9:45 am. We have four awesome leaders.
Monthly: we have a fellowship called WoRd-Up which stands for Walking, Obeying, Radical discipleship. We know if we are developing these habits, we will be in the Word, looking up as we walk out our faith every day. We meet on Sunday nights in different student's homes and have food, fun, crazy games and bible study. We also offer a chance for students who want to learn to lead in bible study to practice this at our WoRd-Up!
Other Activities include: bowling, lazer tag, video scavenger hunts, messy games, water balloon competitions, summer mission projects, Winter Ski Retreats, Disciple Now, tubing, and the list goes on. We are open to whatever the youth suggests and our goal is to have a specific purpose with each event.
Youth Praise band: If you are gifted musically and enjoy singing or playing an instrument, come check it out! (We rehearse on the 1st and 2nd Wed. of every other month at 7:45 pm.)
Parents: We have a couple of meetings for you so we can get to know you and give you an opportunity to sign up and be involved in this ministry if you choose. We have permission slip forms available. You can fill one out for each event or have another form filled out and notarized and it's good for the entire year.
Dig Deeper: Parents of Students, some goals we want to pass on to our students whether we get them for 1 year or all 7 years here at BBC are The Seven Checkpoints (by Andy Stanley): Authentic Faith, Spiritual Disciplines, Moral Boundaries, Healthy Friendships, Wise Choices, Ultimate Authority, and Others First. These are issues they will continue to filter throughout their middle and high school years and beyond. Our goal is to join parents in developing these crucial biblical principals in their students' spiritual journey and help them stay connected to God.
